5 Iron Rules For Creating a Logo

Posted on: October 2, 2019 | By: admin – Comments Off

So how do you make a logo? A good logo is not only nice, but also very important in building the brand image. It is an integral element that cannot be underestimated. That is why it must be transparent, unusual, and above all – consistent with the rest of the elements forming the whole.

Creating the perfect logo does not take a few seconds: it requires careful consideration of the subject (probably) of dozens of sketches and many hours spent thinking about what else can be improved. However, don’t be discouraged, because the effort put into this process will definitely pay off in the future!

However, before you can sketch your logo, you need to answer a few questions:

  • What do you want to communicate with your brand?
  • What is your brand’s mission?
  • How do you want to be received, what emotions do you want to arouse?
  • Who is your target group?
  • What services or products does the company offer?
  • What is characteristic of your brand?

Why does the logo matter?

  • builds the image of the company and it depends on him whether the recipients will perceive your brand as a professional, credible, well-established position, or maybe fresh, creative?
  • is a powerful marketing tool. Just think about what a simple Chanel symbol is associated with? Luxury, exclusivity, style, elitism. In addition, having even a small gadget with the logo of this brand is a guarantee of achieving high social status. In addition (instead of ‘also’ give ‘In addition’? Otherwise it is repetition) the logo strengthens customer loyalty.
  • color matters! When designing the perfect logo, pay special attention to the colors, because specific colors disturb certain feelings, look:
COLOUR ASSOCIATIONS
green relaxation, peace, trust, nature, hope, peace
red emotionality, strength, passion, trust, love, intensity, aggression
black seriousness, exclusivity, luxury
yellow joy, energy, sun, freshness
blue trust, comfort, peace, faith, understanding, confidence
pink love, femininity, warmth, sensuality, romanticism
Violet nostalgia, romanticism, style
brown reliability, support, reliability
orange enthusiasm, creativity, determination

So how do you make a logo? 5 iron rules for creating a logo:

1. Less is more – the simpler the graphic, the easier it is to remember it. Just look at the Nike or Apple logo! It couldn’t have been easier, and everyone knows them. This trend has been going on for many years, and major brands are simplifying their logos.

2. Choose colors carefully! Avoid shades that will catch the eyes, and if you decide on a multi-colored logo – make sure that the colors look good together. If you have doubts when pairing them, take a look at this page: Click here . She will help you 100% avoid colored fakap.

3. Font (Font? 😀) matters! Remember that it cannot be too small, too fanciful, because recipients may misunderstand the text, and yet it is supposed to help – do not harm.

4. Don’t make a logo on the spur of the moment! Sit back, think and answer the following questions: what does my brand associate with? What do I try to convey with it? Don’t stick to the framework in the creative process! Remember that originality works in your favor!

5. Other brands’ logos can be INSPIRATIONS for you only! This rule is very simple – just do not copy the work of other brands (designers? Because brands are repeated again) . You can be inspired by them during brainstorming, but remember that the best logo ( logo  – because the word does not change 😉) , it will be created by you. Therefore, sketch, think, inspire, and you will definitely create something unique and most important: 100% yours!
