Block anonymous calls on the iPhone
Certain mobile phone numbers can easily be blocked on the iPhone ( as you can block numbers on the iPhone, you can read here ). However, if they are anonymous callers or unknown cell phone numbers , the Do Not Disturb feature must be modified. Note: This guide not only blocks anonymous calls but also unknown numbers that are not stored in your contacts. Unfortunately, there is no way to block only anonymous callers.
Step 1:
Open the settings on your iPhone and tap ” Do Not Disturb “.
2nd step:
Activate the function by tapping on the button next to ” Do Not Disturb “. Also, tick ” Always “. This mutes all incoming calls from numbers that are not in your contact list. Then tap ” Allow calls from “.
3rd step:
Under ” Groups ” select ” All contacts “. This will ensure that important calls from known numbers are not muted. You can now close the settings . Next to the battery and GPRS display is a crescent now . This indicates that the Do Not Disturb feature is enabled .
Quick guide: Block anonymous calls on the iPhone
- On your iPhone, go to Settings > Do Not Disturb .
- Touch the button next to Do Not Disturb to enable the feature.
- Under the item ” Mute: ” put a tick on ” Always “. This will also block calls if you have unlocked your phone.
- Under ” Phone “, tap ” Allow calls from ” and select ” All contacts “. This will allow calls to numbers from your contacts list and still block unknown numbers.
- When you exit the settings, there is a crescent above the battery indicator . This indicates that the “Do Not Disturb” feature is enabled .
