Anyone with a Facebook account can create and share a room, and chat participants do not need a social network account to access it.

Facebook also plans to bring Rooms to Instagram Direct, WhatsApp and Portal.

If you prefer, Messenger Rooms allows you to keep the room closed inviting participants through links shared in groups or event pages.

If you have the Messenger app, you can also use augmented reality effects, as well as new artificial intelligence features, such as ambient lighting and 360 degree dynamic backgrounds.
