How to create a new Mailbox from EMC in Exchange Server 2010

To create a new Mailbox from EMC in Exchange Server 2010

1. Open the Exchange Management Console.
2. Expand Recipient Configurations and click on Mailbox.
3. Right-click on Mailbox and select New mailbox.
4. In the Introduction page, select User Mailbox.

5. In the User Type window, select New user.

6. Fill up the required fields, like logon name, password and so on in the User Information screen.

7. Enter mailbox alias, like mprask in the Mailbox Settings page.

8. You can also create an archive mailbox for this new account by selecting Create an archive mailbox for this account checkbox.

9. Confirm the summary and click on New to create this account.
10. Once mailbox is successfully created, you will receive the confirmation as :-
