Google Translate Instant Camera Can Translate 88 Languages – Instant camera translation becomes an interesting feature on Google Translate. This feature allows users to translate foreign languages by pointing the camera lens of a mobile phone towards a photo object that says a foreign language.
Instant camera allows users to see the world in their own language, simply by pointing the camera phone towards the object image in the form of foreign language text.
As Forbes reports, instant camera translation adds support for 60 other languages, such as Arabic, Indian, Malay, Thai and Vietnamese. Also a complete list of all 88 languages supported, including Javanese, Sundanese and Hindi.

This feature is an intuitive way to understand the environment and is very helpful for users when traveling abroad. This feature will work even if the phone is not connected to cellular data or Wi-Fi.

For the first time Google implemented Neural Machine Translation (NMT) technology in instant camera translation. That way, this application is able to produce more accurate and natural translations to reduce errors 55 – 58% in certain languages.
Most languages can be downloaded to the user’s device so they can use this feature without an internet connection. However, when the user’s device is connected to the internet, this Google translate feature will use that connection to produce better quality translations.
