Keeps the option to rename WhatsApp groups for administrators only
By default, any member of a WhatsApp group can change its name . If you do not want to leave this to chance, it is advisable to restrict this option, leaving it active for administrators only . Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Enter the WhatsApp app for Android.
- Go to the group you are an administrator of.
- Go to the menu (⋮) in the top right.
- Go to Group info .
- Go to Group settings.
- Go to the Edit group info .
- Check Only admins .
- Click OK .
- A message with the new setting will appear in the group.
This way, you will protect the name, description and image of the group, as well as its content and users in good faith , if someone wants to make a change that contravenes the WhatsApp terms and conditions .
