Verified Call: What is it and how does it work?
Verified Call is an application developed by Google that aims to make your phone smarter with regard to managing incoming calls. It can be downloaded for free from this Google Play link .
It works like this: when companies call you they need to inform the reason for the call and identify themselves. This data provided beforehand appears on the phone screen, not just the phone number as you are used to.
This way, it is easier to decide if you want to answer the call or not, or if you want to block the number so that it does not call again. The idea is to simplify the user’s life, allowing him to have greater control over the calls he answers without necessarily having to register numbers in the phonebook just to block them.

Technology in tests and USA among the pioneers
The Verified Call feature has been tested by Google for some time. Users with devices that have the Android One version already have this feature integrated. In addition, some other newer phone models may also come with this application already installed.
Google said it plans to roll out this service gradually in several countries before including it definitively in the operating system. United States, Mexico, Spain and India are the pioneer countries in testing this novelty. The trend is that with each new version of Android the number of countries compatible with the feature increases.
From a technical point of view, verified calls receive a kind of “special seal” of quality. Whoever makes the connection must provide the information requested for the calls to be completed. From the moment that a company has many of its calls rejected, it appears and a list of spam, which will make future contacts with users more difficult.
According to Google, companies that have already tested this technology have seen advantages and make calls more assertive and less uncomfortable for customers. By failing to call those who are not interested in this type of content, companies have seen more interesting results in terms of conversion and acceptance.
