How to export chat from WhatsApp in text format, step by step
The process is simple. No workaround or third party applications are required , but there is a secure option available in the WhatsApp menu . Follow these steps:
- Enter the WhatsApp app on your Android phone.
- Get into the conversation you want to save.
- Press the menu (⋮) in the upper right.
- Press More .
- Click Export Chat .
- Choose whether you want to export the multimedia files ( image, video ) from the chat.
- Choose where you want the text file to be saved .
You can now view the conversation as a text file and, above all, email it or save it to the cloud . Attention, the pictures in that conversation will only be saved if you choose this.
