Google Play Market doesn’t work – what should I do?

This problem occurs quite often and if you are ignored, you are lucky. I have encountered various errors and the Google Play market on Android for many times, so I share my personal experience as much as possible to get back to work the most popular services from the “Corporation of Good”.

So, breaks in the Google Play Store are different: technical problems on the service side, permanent errors, application failures and total malfunction. In this guide I will give some useful tips on how to fix it.

1. Restart Android

The first step is to restart the device. This usually solves most problems with Google Play. If that doesn’t work, then come on.

2. Reset the Google Play Store

To do this:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Open “Applications” or “Application Manager”.

3. Find and click Google Play Store.

4. In the application settings window, select “Clear data” and “Clear cache”.

I think this should help even more users, but if not, please.

3. Uninstall Google Play Store updates

We proceed in the same way as in Step 2, but now instead of “Delete data” and “Clear cache”, click “Delete updates”.

This will restore the Play Market to its original state at the time of installation.

4. Reset the Google Play service application settings

Go to settings again, open “Applications” and find “Google Play services” in the list. Open it, and also clear the cache and data.

5. Clear the cache and Google framework service data

Go to Settings → Applications → the All tab. Select “Google service structure”. Click “Clear Data” and “Clear Cache”.

6. The Google Accounts application is disabled

Go to Settings → Applications → the All tab. Select Google Accounts. If this application is disabled, enable it.

7. Turn on “Download Manager”

In the svaypami application section on the left, click the “All” tab and open “Download manager”. If you have it turned off, click “Turn on”.

If it is already activated and the previous tips did not help and Google Play does not work, we go further.

8. Uninstall and restore your Google account.

You can learn about this in the instructions:  how to backup data on Android  . There, in step 6, select “Delete account”.

9. Apps that block the Google Play Store

Some programs may block the Play Store. For example, the well-known Freedom app, which allows in-game purchases for free, can interfere with the normal operation of the Google app store.

10. Configure the hosts file

If you have Freedom installed , this item is for you.

This method requires the presence of root rights.

First disable the Freedom application (in the program menu, click the “Stop” item), and then delete it.

After that, install Core Explorer  or  provide administrator access to ES Explorer  . Then get on the path  / system / ETS /  file «hosts», open it in a text editor, and leave only for this line (if not, write to it):

127.0.0.1 localhost

Save Changes. Then restart the Android gadget.

11. Reset Android settings (hard reset)

This is the most radical method that will delete all data on the internal disk. The data on the memory card will not be affected. Full instructions on our site:  how to reset settings on Android.

This advice will definitely help, so do not be afraid – it can also be used. The most important thing is to back up your system beforehand. How to do this, read paragraph 6 of this manual.

Then the first time you start, you can restore all data from the previously created backup (backup).

12. Check the internet connection

Check network connection. If you do not open any sites in your browser, restart your router and properly  configure your Internet connection  .

13. Set the correct time (“No connection” error)

If you get the error: “There is no connection”, although the Internet works, this paragraph of our instructions should help you.

Set the correct time and enter the time zone correctly. Most importantly, sync these settings to your network. To do this, go to “Settings” → “Date and time” and check “Network date and time” and “Network time zone”.

14. Blocking Google’s IP addresses

UPD 04/23/2018  After blocking Telegram in Russia, Roskomnadzor blocked over 18 million Google IP addresses, which caused many users to have problems connecting to the company’s services, including Play Market.

To restore access to the application store on Android, use  a VPN  . Because Google Play does not open, you must download and  install the  VPN client .apk file (for example,  Turbo VPN  ).

Then start the application and click the button at the bottom of the screen. When prompted to connect, select “OK”.

Turbo VPN data centers are located all over the world, you can connect to servers in Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain and the USA for free. To redirect traffic to one of them, click the icon in the upper right corner and select the server country from the list.

Try all of the above methods, and one of them will definitely help you.
