How to enable the fingerprint unlock function in WhatsApp application
Some important points to start with. To use this feature, you must belong to a group that uses the WhatsApp test version for beta testing. The second important issue is the latest version of the application. Without these two things, you will wait a bit for unlocking WhatsApp with your finger.
To enable this function in the application, you must
enter WhatsApp Settings > Account > Privacy > Fingerprint lock (the new function does not have the Polish version yet ). After enabling the Fingerprint lock option, the application will ask you to verify your finger. From now on, every time you open the application, you’ll be prompted to authenticate your fingerprint.
Of course , you can still respond quickly to notifications without having to unlock them, but no one will be able to rummage in your old messages with impunity.
You may not want to constantly unlock the application with your fingerprint. In the same menu, where you can enable the tested function, you can also choose how long after closing the application, it will be blocked. By selecting the immediate lock option , each close and reopen must be authenticated. Other options are blocking after a minute and 30 minutes from closing the application.
If you do not have the test version and you do not intend to equip it, you must be patient to use the fingerprint lock function. However, it is worth ensuring the safety of your phone, especially in such a convenient way.
