Until now, WhatsApp stored multimedia files on the server for 30 days from sending them and deleted them as soon as the user downloaded them. You can now download files again. For files sent 2 months earlier it is still possible. Downloading a file sent 3 months earlier may require several attempts. At the moment it is not possible to download files older than 3 months from the server.
