1. Make sure you have the Google Drive app installed and enabled on your old phone. Download the app from Google Play if you don’t already have it on your phone.
2. Open WhatsApp and touch the three points in the top right corner, then choose Settings > Chats > Chat backup .

4. On the new phone, install WhatsApp and Google Drive. Then sign in using the same Google Account as your old phone.

7. WhatsApp will start downloading the files. Restoring messages will only take a minute or two, but if you have many videos and pictures, the restore process will take longer.

8. Enter a name for the WhatsApp profile, and then click Next . Now WhatsApp should work like on your old device.
