It’s no secret that the IT industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the economy. Employment in the IT industry is becoming the dream of an increasing number of young people.
Today, many young people dreaming of employment in the IT industry are sending hundreds, if not thousands of CVs to their potential employers. It is not feasible to employ everyone. So how do you write a perfect CV to catch the recruiter’s attention? How can you make them stand out, bounce off the cliche get yourself an invitation to an interview ?
7 point’s to keep in mind to write a perfect CV for the IT industry
- Take your time to create an individual, original CV. Forget about online cash! Do you know this saying that if something is for everything, then it really is for nothing? Exactly the same can be said for your CV. Do you dream of working in the IT industry? Customize your documents only for this sector.
- Write a working CV and then review it carefully to evaluate it fully objectively. The CV should be legible, transparent and aesthetic. Do not let the recruiter have to unravel its content like Sherlock.
- In addition to the obvious information that must appear in your CV, data, address, telephone and contact email, education, additional skills, describe your technical / IT predispositions in detail. Under each job, describe the scope of responsibilities that you performed. You will give the recruiter a picture of what you are good at.
- A good CV should include a “skills” section in which you summarize your IT skills in specific technologies. The most important information that should be included there is information on system knowledge, software languages and technology.
- Every employer will gladly hire someone for whom work is also a passion and a way of life. Show that you are not limited to basic requirements. list in your CV all projects in which you took part, also note, for example, the fact that you run a thematic blog or participate in an IT forum. Give examples of your work. If you have created an application, attach a link to it.
- Remember to complete your CV with all the courses and training you have conducted yourself. Carefully note any initiatives that required contact with the customer. This all confirms your soft skills, i.e. the ability to work with people.
- The most important thing is not to shoot! Being truthless doesn’t pay. At the latest at the interview, the truth will come out, all inaccuracies will be brutally exposed and you will be left with a moral hangover. Be honest. Honesty is valued. Even if you have some deficiencies, write about them and make sure you want to learn very much.
