Do you want to use the basic version of Yahoo Mail?
You can upgrade to Yahoo Mail Classic to get an older, basic version of Yahoo Mail . It would be a clever move if the connection is slower because it doesn’t load newer menu items and doesn’t look so nice. However, the newer version is useful because it looks and feels better and categorizes your mail by date.
It would be nice if you didn’t have to decide at the moment, and just switch between the basic and newer version of the interface to try and see what you like. You can even sometimes switch between them in certain situations.
Can you switch to Yahoo Mail Classic?
Unfortunately, after switching to Yahoo mail, you can no longer return to Yahoo Mail Classic. However, you don’t have to use Yahoo’s full email instead you can choose Yahoo Basic Mail – a simple version of Yahoo Mail similar to Yahoo Mail Classic.
The easiest way to get to the basic version of Yahoo Mail is to log in to your account and then open that URL, which will take you directly to the older view.
Here’s another way:
- In Yahoo Mail, click or tap the Help menu button in the upper right corner of the page. It’s the one that looks like equipment.
- From this menu select Settings .
- In the Email browsing section , which should be open by default, scroll down to the very bottom and select Basic instead of Fully functional .
- Click Save .
- The page will refresh and you will receive an older, basic version of Yahoo Mail.
Go to Yahoo Mail From Yahoo Mail Classic
- While in the basic version of Yahoo Mail, pay attention to the area just below your name, but above the emails.
- Click or tap Switch to the latest Yahoo mail .
- Yahoo mail will refresh automatically and provide the latest version.
