No more Windows Defender – changes are coming

Windows Defender - changes are coming

Microsoft is introducing a change of name to its security system.

The American company is slowly implementing name changes for its software. Valued and effectively replacing external antivirus Windows Defender will see a new incarnation in the form of Microsoft Defender.

The novelty is to come along with the 20H1 update, which is expected to debut at the beginning of next year. It is worth reassuring that it will not affect the functions and the way the program works.

Unification of names is a sensible action on the part of Microsoft, which currently offers its software on more media. In addition to Windows Defender, the change will also affect Windows Defender Exploit Guard, which, like “big brother” will be called Microsoft Defender Exploit Guard.
