Have you played a game and accidentally pressed any key combination that locked your keyboard? You have allowed younger siblings to your computer and now the keyboard is not working properly? Maybe the problem arose during the standard use of the equipment? The main reason for locking the keyboard or switching it to entering strange characters or numbers instead of letters is by pressing a key combination. Depending on the laptop brand, the key combination may be different.

How to unlock the laptop keyboard?
- press the FN key (a function button that is usually of a different size and / or color than the rest of the keys on the laptop);
- press the key combination: Shift + FN ;
- press the key combination from F1 to F12 + FN ;
- press the key combination: NumLock + FN + F11;
- when the keyboard types weird characters, try the combination: Shift + Ctrl .
If none of the keyboard shortcuts work, then restarting your computer may be the solution . If the keyboard is still locked or working incorrectly, system recovery may be the final solution . Remember to back up your data first.
To restore the system, you need to go through the windows one by one: Start> Programs> Accessories> System Tools> System Restore , or Control Panel> Backup and Restore.
Note: You can also remove and replace the laptop battery before restoring the system.
