Disables location access for apps
Location by GPS and GSM eat a lot of battery. If you want, you can keep the location active only for certain applications . However, the others, which you do not need, must prohibit their access. To do this, go to Settings – Apps – Apps permissions – Location . Here you will find a list of all the applications that have access to the location services and for each one you have a button to activate or deactivate this option.
Disables homescreen shortcuts
The shortcuts in the homescreen should only be for the applications you usually need and to access quickly . Any other application will mess you up and take up space for nothing.
To prevent automatic shortcuts from being added to the homescreen, go to the Play Store , then to settings and uncheck Add icons to home screen .
Disables touch screen feedback
One of the default settings of Android is the vibration at the touch screen , or haptic feedback . But this option can be annoying because of the very noisy vibration motor. Moreover, it will consume a lot of battery with each vibration.
To turn off vibration when you touch the screen, go to Settings, Sound and vibration and disable Touch vibrations . The name of this option may differ depending on the handset manufacturer.
Disables screen animations and transitions
If you want to save even more battery life , turn off Android’s animated screen effects and transitions . To do this, go to Developer options (it is activated by tapping 7 times on the Android version of Settings – About phone – Build number ), and disable the options from Window animation scale, Transition animation scale and Animation duration scale .
All to save battery, disable adaptive lighting of the screen . Go to Settings – Display and uncheck Adaptive brightness .
Keep the phone screen on
If the screen turns off too quickly and you want to have it available for longer, install the Caffeine application . This will keep your screen illuminated for as long as you want . It is very small, does not require permission and is free.
