We all want the easiest, fastest and most convenient way to transfer files from your computer to your smartphone or tablet. The USB connection is now obsolete, the presence of a Bluetooth module is not available on all devices, but Wi-Fi fits perfectly. Today you will learn how you can simply transfer files from your computer to Android and vice versa using the wonderful Any Send program.
We’ve already published some useful instructions on our site. We recommend reading how to transfer files between a computer and Android via Wi-Fi and how to transfer files via Wi-Fi from a computer to Android using AirDroid.
If you don’t have a Wi-Fi router at home, you can always distribute Wi-Fi from your computer or laptop or use your smartphone or tablet as an Android access point.
This time we will work with a very simple and convenient Any Send program. The bottom line is that all your devices are connected to the same access point. Just download the program and client for Android from the official site . There is also a Mac version.
After installing Any Send, the program is in the tray and can be started only from this point.
The file transfer is as follows: you need to copy the file and then it will appear in Any Send. Then select the device connected to the Wi-Fi network to which you want to send the file.
Now take your tablet or smartphone and open the Any Send application. You will be notified that the file can be transferred from your computer. I agree. You can also click “Always” and the notification will no longer be displayed.
If you want to send a file from Android to your computer, click the computer in the list of connected devices, and then the files on your phone or tablet will be opened. Just select the one you want and the program will start sending.
At this time, you will be prompted to authorize file transfers on your computer screen. Again, you agree. You can also check the “Remember this answer” box.
The program has some settings. You can change the computer name, set the profile image, enable automatic startup on startup, enable sound notifications, enable notifications when receiving and sending files. You can also choose the folder where you want to download the received files and configure them to open automatically.
