| Check the client utilization and also the memory usage & also the commserver utilization status. run the disk backup for same client and check the speed. run the sap backup to SAN directly and check the speed. by using these report you can find the issue easily |

| No. We cant restore the data. because when you try to put restore it will scan both the tapes for the data check. even though if the 1st tape is good and it restored there will be no use of it as restoration wont be sucessful |

| I/O error being a reason for backup failure is due to what. we have faced this issue multiple time in our environment specially for SAP for oracle backup and every time we have started the backup again with a new media and backup is completed successfully. is it really due to media? |

| It may be isuse with the tape library. when you put new media it will run the backup without any issue. if you use the same tape again it will cause the issue. check the TL completely and isolate the issue from TL den go with the media level troubleshooting, put new media and take the backup and use same media again for next day and check it |
