1. Make a backup before updating apps

Your Android does not automatically save the APK files of your apps. To restore an app on your phone, you must have a backup. The easiest way to do this is to download an app that makes a backup for you such as App Backup & Restore  or Helium – App Sync and Backup. These apps will not only save the old version of your app, but also tell you how to get it back.

2. Downgrade after an upgrade

To go back to a previous version of a particular app, you can do the following:

a) Enable installation of ‘unknown sources’ .
b) Root your device.

Once you do this you can download APK for AppDowner from XDA developers, it’s free. Once installed, you need to search the web for places that store APK files or older apps , such as Android Drawer or F-droid . There are many more such sites out there, but you should always be careful about downloading apps that you don’t download from Google Play.
