Inspirational Books for Entrepreneurs – Here I bring recommendations from books that will change not only your way of thinking, but will also influence your attitudes tremendously.

There are several titles that I could put here, but these are the ones that for me survive the test of time, remaining current and immensely pertinent in the situations we experience in today’s world.

I consider the books here already classic, with at least 13 years of publication (with the exception of the last, which is quite recent, but which entered the list because it is quite special) .

So come on!

1. Work 4 Hours a Week
2. Rich Dad, Poor Dad
3. How to Win Friends and Influence People
4. The magic of thinking big
5. Atomic Habits

1. Work 4 Hours a Week

This book was undoubtedly one that had the greatest impact on my way of thinking. Despite being a 2007 book, and a lot has changed since then, Tim Ferriss’ text is excellent because it brings with it some teachings that have no expiration date.

The fundamental principles that the book deals with are highly insightful and can be applied by anyone who wants to take it a step further, get out of the media and live a more purposeful and abundant life .

The first slap in the face we have when reading the book Work 4 Hours a Week is when Tim makes us realize that what keeps us standing in the comfort zone is the fear of taking risks, risks that we don’t even stop to think about what they are.

We are therefore encouraged to define precisely what the situations we fear are  and to think about the worst possible scenarios.

Are you afraid to leave the job you can’t stand and try a new career?

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the best possible result and 10 being the worst thing that could happen to you (eg getting into debt, needing to sell your assets, moving in with family, etc.), how much are you willing to take chances with the goal of following your dreams ?

In addition to this, many other ideas related to productivity and living a life with intention are treated with real examples from the lives of Tim and people who followed his successful “recipe”.

It is not a very extensive book, but it speaks in an uncomplicated way of subjects that will make you rethink various attitudes that you may be taking on a daily basis.

In addition to teaching several tricks of how to get better results with less work , that is, how to do things effectively, applying the least effort to obtain the greatest possible benefit.

2. Rich Dad, Poor Dad

This is a great classic in the world of entrepreneurship and finance, which has sold over 26 million copies worldwide.

You have probably heard of this book. I, in particular, took a long time to read it , I never had a special interest in it, but after listening to people that I admire recommending it, I ended up taking it to check it out.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad is a big finance college. If you have never had any kind of money guidance in your family, I’m pretty sure you didn’t have it in school either.

So, probably, if you did not seek to know from other sources, you would continue to reproduce the patterns of consumption and beliefs about money that people around you have.

And that’s why I recommend this book, so you can break the bonds and find out what no one has ever said about money ( probably because they don’t know ).

Robert Kiyosaki reveals the path to wealth, teaching the concept  of liabilities and assets . Robert explains that the rich make money work for them instead of money.

You may have heard this phrase, but what does it really mean? Rich Dad, Poor Dad explains this issue from end to end.

3. How to Win Friends and Influence People

This is another very famous and highly acclaimed title among entrepreneurs. It is the oldest on the list, it was published in 1936, and like the others, it remains extremely current and useful.

If you want to develop your leadership skills or want to learn how to sell more and better, this book is a must for you.

In any business, we deal with people (even if it is an Internet business, in which for the most part you do not personally meet with your customers).

Positively influencing others and getting what you want or need for your business can be big challenges and this book will help with that.

One of the main lessons that Dale Carnegie teaches is that it is essential for a leader to be able to understand the needs of his audience .

Nobody likes a person who only talks about themselves. Why? Because people care about themselves, their problems, their tastes, not yours.

Have you ever stopped to think that while you are the star of your film, everyone else is the star of her film?

Based on this premise, How to Make Friends and Influence People brings a series of practical tips on how to use this principle in the way you interact with people, making them like you and let themselves be persuaded by what you say.

4. The magic of thinking big

It is a fact that everyone has dreams and that, however, only a small part can achieve them.

Those people who don’t put their plans into practice and don’t pursue their goals always have several reasons to explain why they can’t, why they can’t.

How many do not want to have a spotted body, that “beach body” so worshiped? And it is common knowledge that in order to achieve this ideal, it is necessary to adjust the food and make a gym.

But most of us work all day, have a busy routine, a lot of obligations and that becomes an excuse as to why it is impossible to get in shape.

People are convinced that they cannot become who they want for a variety of reasons, and because of that they do not move.

In the book The Magic of Thinking Big, we are invited to set aside excuses and complaints and roll up our sleeves. The antidote to inertia in life is to take responsibility for our circumstances .

David shows that the first step to conquer is to believe ( as cliché as it sounds ).

People want to have a defined body, but they don’t seriously believe that they can. That is the root of the whole problem, as we can understand in this book.

When we have confidence in ourselves and project a beautiful and abundant future, then we start to work little by little to make it true.

Our brain is a fantastic machine, it does what we command. If you think small, your brain will work to achieve just that.

In this book we learn to reprogram our mindset , in order to align our beliefs and, consequently, our attitudes, to be more and better .

5. Atomic Habits

Among the five that I am indicating, I consider this to be the one that brings the most practical knowledge to help someone on the journey of entrepreneurship or any project they want to accomplish.

While the previous books are books to open your horizons and make you change the frequency of your thoughts, Atomic Habits is one that will help you in taking the necessary steps to transform your life for the better.

James Clear makes us face the fact that our life is built on our habits .

And in fact we have several habits, many of which we don’t even notice, but which have a profound impact on our reality.

James shows us that the effect of bad habits over a 1-year period can only be absolutely terrible, just as positive habits can be positively transformative.

In Atomic Habits we learn step by step to build advantageous behavior patterns, changing our environment so that it helps us in our goals and not the other way around.

In the course of the book, the author reveals several secrets on how to do this in a simple way, so simple that you will say “how did I not think of it before?”.

Anyway, I consider this a fundamental reading for anyone who wants to take charge of their own destiny .
