Why does Amaozon.com, aamzon.com or amaozn.com send you to Amazon.com? Did they buy those domains on purpose?
The answer to this question is quite simple as we all know Amazon is the World Largest e-commerce site with several millions of customers daily.
Amazon collects payment onsite, this means that people enter their personal details and credit card information to purchase items on Amazon.
Amazon intentionally bought those domains to protect their customers from Fraud. imagine one makes a mistake and types amaozon or aamzon and sees a website that asks for his credit card details. He could be defrauded.
So the Links will never fraud you to the wrong website, you can check them too.
People can be careless but you can’t expect carelessness from such a big brand. The reason I’m calling people careless because people very often type in wrong url and get directed to a different website. If suppose a person misspells amazon and he gets redirected to a different website (which is not owned by amazon) then his information(including card number, PIN) can be easily stolen by the owner of the duplicate website.
This would degrade the image of Amazon causing huge downfall in it’s market.
So to reduce these kind of problems amazon owns various other domains also which redirect people to their website.
Same concept is followed by various other companies like Google.
Such as www.gooogle.com, www.gogle.com both domain will redirect you to www.google.com.
