G Suite is now Google Workspace – Google’s suite of corporate applications has a new name: the company announced this week that the G Suite will be renamed Google Workspace. Among the applications included in the package are Gmail , Google Calendar, Google Drive , Google Docs , among others.
In addition, there will be changes in the values and content of corporate plans, as well as a new look for the logo of some of the services. The modifications should be applied over the next few weeks and, according to the company, users will receive the news in waves.

What Google Workspace is and how it works
“Google Workspace includes all the productivity apps you know and love. Whether you’re coming back to the office, working at home, on the front lines with your mobile device or connecting with customers, Google Workspace is the best way to create, communicate and collaborate, ”said Google in a press release.
The company also highlights that the integration between users and services is one of the main highlights of this new phase of the service. From now on, it is possible to mark co-workers in documents with an “@”. Document previews will also be available for viewing now when clicking on a document link.
To mark the change, it wasn’t just the name of the application suite that changed. Several of the services will be presented with a new logo, closer to the latest updates released by the company in its services.
Changes in Gsuite plans too
For users who already use the free versions of these services there will be no changes, but for those who subscribe to one of the many plans available there are news. The new composition now provides for two more categories within the Business plan: Business Standard and Business Plus. The Enterprise mode remains unchanged.
- – Business Starter: in this modality the monthly fee is R $ 24.30. The plan includes personalized business email, video calls with up to 100 participants, 30 GB of cloud storage per user, security controls and standard management and support.
- – Business Standard: in this modality the monthly fee is R $ 48.60. The plan includes personalized business email, video calls with up to 150 participants and recording, 2 TB of cloud storage per user, security and management controls and standard support.
- – Business Plus: in this modality, the monthly fee is R $ 81. The plan includes personalized commercial email with retention e-discovery, video calls with up to 250 participants with recording and participation control, 5 TB of cloud storage per user , enhanced security controls and standard management and support.
- – Enterprise: in this modality the monthly fee is on request. The plan includes personalized business email with retention e-discovery and S / MIME encryption, video calls with up to 250 participants with recording and participation control (includes noise cancellation and live broadcast in the domain), infinite cloud storage per user, enhanced security controls and premium management and support.
