CHANGE THE COLOR OF THE FACEBOOK ICON WHEN A MESSAGE ARRIVES + THE COUNTER

It is already a norm for me that I attach cards that I often use . Then they take up less space, I have full access to them and, by the way, do not delete after closing the browser. Yes, you can set it in options to keep them all, but I only want the selected ones. Anyway, I couldn’t pin the Facebook cards . Until now, when I finally looked for someone to think of what I was thinking about – creating a Greasemonkey script that would change the page’s favicon when a message arrives. The entry applies to the Firefox browser.

How do you make the card icon light up when you get a Facebook message?

She highlighted it maybe not, but changed it to red already. This can of course be changed, but red seems to be the most sensible and visible solution.

  1. Download the Greasemonkey add-on – Firefox Add-ons and install it.
  2. Turn browser off and on.
  3. Go here and install the script for Greasemonkey.

From now on when the message arrives, the Facebook icon will be red. Of course, after reading it, it will return to the default, blue again.

The original Userscripts.org has disappeared, so the link given was to the mirror of the entire site. I give another mirror for storage here .

Facebook message counter

Just download the Tab Badge add-on for Firefox . After this procedure, turn off and turn on the Facebook card.
