Google is launching more news on Google Duo so that the videoconferencing platform is perfect for virtual meetings between two or more people, and even in moments with Mother’s Day.
Unlike Google Meet – which has a more corporate focus – Google Duo is a product for casual use, that is, for personal day-to-day conversations and, preferably, by cell phone.

The novelty is the family mode that offers fun features that include doodles, filters and masks, which will also be available for individual conversations.
“Our new family mode allows you to doodle on video calls for everyone to see and also surprise them with fun effects and masks that turn you into astronauts, cats and more,” says the company.
“Just start a video call, touch the menu icon and then touch Family to get started.”
“You don’t have to worry about accidental silences or interruptions, because we hide these buttons while you play together.”
