Google CEO Sundar Pichai has informed employees that they will not be returning to the office until at least June.

According to Pichai, Google plans a “staggered” and “incremental” return to offices after the coronavirus. This is being done, in part, to alleviate employee concerns about leaving home.

The return to the offices will also have specific instructions that will vary from “location to location“.

“Everyone who is at home must assume that we will continue this way until at least June 1, 2020”, said the executive.

“I know that many of you have doubts about how the return to the office will be and when. The six counties of Google’s California headquarters are extending work from home until the end of May, while other locations around the world are issuing their own guidance. ”

Employees with special needs will be able to talk to managers about flexible work plans when offices are reopened.
