YouTube tests the “Products in this video” feature with links to purchases

YouTube tests the “Products in this video” feature with links to purchases

YouTube Tests – YouTube is testing shopping links for the products mentioned in certain videos with a small group of users.

“Starting this week, for a limited number of users, the ‘Products in this video’ feature will analyze the video for mentions of specific products,” said the company.

“When detecting these products, new visual elements will be overlaid on the video or shown below the video to offer visitors easy shopping links for these products.”

According to the company, an example of a video that would receive the new feature would be something titled “Top 10 smartphones in 2020“.

Some of the viewers will see icons in the video, along with information below, listing the phone models included in the video.
