Solved – Import WordPress xml file larger than 2 mb upload_max_filesize Error

File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.
If you are facing the above problem and unable to import backup into your wordpress blog just simply follow the step given below

  • Login into admin panel of your hosting website.
  • Now open file Manager.
  • Create a file named php.ini

file_uploads = On
post_max_size = 512M
upload_max_filesize = 512M

  • Add the above 3 lines in the file and save it.

That’s it try to login into your wordpress admin dashboard and try to import your XML backup.
