1 – Ignore comments

The blog receives comments and the author responsible for the post does not interact with readers. These are the biggest mistakes that a blogger can make. Responding to comments, even if it is thank you for commenting”  is enough to motivate the reader to continue commenting on your blog to receive your responses.

That’s what someone wants to receive when they comment: an answer, the author’s attention. Failure to respond to the reader’s comment will leave you dissatisfied, and he will think you are ignoring him. This causes loss of comments on the blog, which can lose traffic as well.

2- Do not review the post

Of course, sometimes a letter escapes, or if there is no other problem, or even a word is missing. It is more than recommended, it is necessary to revise the post before publishing.

When reviewing your post, you must transform yourself into a reader, and start criticizing the post itself, correct the words, see if the sentence is making sense, if the main topic has gone out of focus (which cannot happen under any circumstances) , if the topic is deepened, and new topics can be addressed, and these topics are published on your blog, put links in your post, because if the reader is interested in the topic and wants to get deeper into the subject, he will click on the link and read more on your blog).

Do not forget to check the references, because as they last, people forget this important item, if you have searched the internet and taken from websites / books.

3- Drop the blog

There are two ways for people to leave the blog: Either they simply forget that it exists, or they don’t have enough time to take care of it, even if it comes in once a week.

When a person leaves the blog permanently, it can cause problems for other people in the future who want to use the same name as yours. What is more annoying is when a person wants to give initiative on a blog, they think of a creative name, but that name already exists, it is already being used by another person.

Then that person will search for that name on Google, find the blog that already has the name, but when visiting it, it is abandoned, its last post was made 10 years ago, but it is still alive on Google.

This is very disheartening. The owner who chose the name for your blog before you, but then plans to abandon it, it is better to delete the blog permanently or transfer it to someone else so as not to cause problems for other people in the future.

4- Don’t be creative

It is forbidden to create a blog without creativity. If you don’t have something that is original to you, and just copy content over the internet, your blog is considered illegal because you practice plagiarism.

Plagiarism is copying completely and disrespecting someone else’s copyright. In other words, it’s like buying a pirated movie. For now, piracy is not prohibited in Brazil, but Plagiarism is.

Understand, dear reader, you can talk about the same subject as several other blogs in the blogosphere, but that does not justify that you cannot create a different blog, or that you have to copy someone else’s content:  It is possible to be different even using the same niche of other blogs!

5- Content is absolute king

Content is the emperor of the blog without exception; without it your blog has nothing but attraction for good looks. In this topic, the most common mistake that a blogger makes is the bad frequency of posting on the blog. A blogger should post to his blog at least once a week, at a minimum.

There are the poor people who want to have a blog, but the routine is very tight, so the way is to post on the blog on weekends – And it does not come with stories that you are tired, because this excuse the readers do not forgive. – A blog is a long-term commitment, you created it, now you will take care of it.

Establish a routine, a rest time, a time to take care of yourself, and set aside at least one hour to write on your blog once a week. If you have more time, great, post one article a day, or if you don’t have time, you can use the feature to schedule a post.

6- Make a quality post, but not too long

Interesting posts will catch the reader’s attention, as he will think “ wow! this guy went deeper into the topic, look at the size of this post! ” At first he starts reading, but he gets tired over time, and he skips parts of the post, and reads only the main parts, the most important ones he needs to know about the topic.

This is the case with most Brazilians, some are lazy to read until the end. So, make separate posts and put the links between them for the reader if he wants to read more.

If you can solve these six problems, your blog post performance will be much higher, as more people will read your post, and this will increase traffic on your blog.
