Most used and famous Search Engines

General search engines

A search engine is a tool capable of searching and returning the most relevant documents following a search. The number of indexed documents and the degree of relevance of the results are the factors with which the quality of a search engine is assessed .

The search engine market is unfortunately a monopoly across the western world. Only in Russia and China do local search engines prevail, in the rest of the world Google dominates with a market share equivalent to almost 93%.

What does the Google monopoly mean? For advertisers, having a single channel with which to advertise in almost all the world is certainly convenient but also more expensive since all the competition is concentrated in the same channel. As we all know, monopolies are never the best solution for consumers. We SEOs hope that Bing or some other opponent will be able to take market share over time to Google.
